The Fundación Nao Victoria Foundation and Chamber of Seville signed an agreement to support the activities of the Space EXPLORATERRA

Seville, may 31, 2024.- The president of the Fundación Nao Victoria, D. José Fernández of Place, and the president of the Foundation House of Seville, D. Francisco Herrera, have signed an agreement of collaboration between the two institutions for the promotion of activities in the Space Exploraterra.

The object of the agreement is to the spread of the prominence of the city of Seville and the Guadalquivir river in the greatest era of the maritime expeditions of the story that opened the image of the modern world and initiated the globalization of the planet, as well as the large key milestone in this process: the First trip Around the World of the Nao Victoria. On the other, this collaboration seeks to promote activities to preserve and promote the trades related to navigation, the history and the cultural richness of our maritime heritage.

All of this through the promotion of the activities of the new interpretation centre Exploraterra. A space socio-cultural managed by the Fundación Nao Victoria, in which, through its rooms and contents, the value is set to the mentioned era of the maritime expeditions, right from its “mile zero” to the foot of the Tower of Gold – in which it is located. A space that, on the whole, pays homage to the spirit explorer of the man of all times, to the boldness and enterprise, that have changed and continue to change the world. By all this and by the shared commitment of both institutions to the city and its cultural and economic activities, the signing of this agreement activates your partnership for the implementation, promotion and dissemination of the activities of this center Exploraterra.

On the other hand, in the framework of this agreement, the Fundación Nao Victoria Victoria, institution of great experience in the management of the “events of exceptional public interest”, to collaborate with the Foundation’s Camera at the program of actions, together with the City of Seville, is putting in place for the celebration of the centenary of the Ibero-american Exhibition of 1929.
