A large space of cultural and leisure activities on the major maritime explorations and the First trip Around the World in the Paseo Alcalde Marqués de Contadero

Seville, march 30, 2022.– This morning the president of the Fundación Nao Victoria, José Fernández de Cabo, next to Counselor to the president, Antonio Sanz and the Mayor of the City of Seville, Antonio Muñoz, have opened the Space EXPLORATERRA “Earth Explorers”.
What is Exploraterra “Earth Explorers”?
A project of the Fundación Nao Victoria, co-financed by the cross-Border Cooperation Programme Spain – Portugal (INTERREG V – POCTEP 2014-2020), which has counted with the participation of other institutions: the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions of the regional government of Andalusia, the Agency of Tourism of Galicia, the Associação Portuguesa de Treino de Vela (APORVELA) and the Organisation Regional Tourism do Algarve, and with the cooperation of the City of Seville and Acción Cultural Española.
It is a new cultural space and leisure facilities, located in the Guadalquivir river next to the Golden Tower in building 1 of the Paseo Alcalde Marqués de Contadero on the banks of the Guadalquivir river, next to the Torre del Oro, in the heart of Seville and maritime explorer.
A cultural center next to the Nao 500 Victory, is in the city as a legacy of the V Centenary of the First Round-the-World, the Fundación Nao Victoria has been built in the “mile zero” of this extraordinary journey, that commemorates and disseminates this feat, and pays tribute to the spirit explorer of the man of all times. Under the motto “Explore the past, discover the future,” the Space Exploraterra is composed of different areas and exhibition activities that speak of the past, the present and the future exploration.
As it has emphasized the President of the Fundación Nao Victoria, the city enjoys today a well-deserved center on the First Round-the-World, and large expeditions, which connects the present and the future of exploration, extends the range of cultural and scientific of the city and power the tourism quality.
