Arrived at the “Espacio Exploraterra” you can find the Nao Victoria 500, a replica of the ship that was protagonist of the first circumnavigation around the world. The visitor can get on board of this historical ship and discover through its decks, what it once was the most Advanced ship from of their time and is, now, a big symbol of innovation and enormous journeys of explorations.

REAL SCALE REPLICA
The shape and details of the Nao Victoria 500 answer to an exhaustive historical study, through documentary sources about the expedition, chronicles, naval construction treaties, iconography of the time, etc.
The Nao Victoria 500 was built in the slipway of Punta Umbria (Huelva) where the Nao Victoria Foundation built before the “Galeón Andalucía” and a replica of the Nao Santa Maria. The work began in February 2019 and its launching was just a year later, after which it was towed to Seville to dock it in front of the Paseo Marqués de Contadero, a few meters from the Espacio Exploraterra and the Torre del Oro.
The construction of this replica was a result of 12 months of intensive hard work where all the departments of the naval construction have been involved: shoreline carpenters, netters, sailboats, artisans, engineers, historians, etc.
The Nao Victoria 500 has a length of 26 meters, a beam of 6,6 meters, a draft of 3 meters and 3 masts, in addition to the bowsprit, which they hoist 6 sails with an area of 290 m2.
Visitors will be able to learn all its details and how the crew members of the greatest maritime feat of all time lived on this ship.
