The councilor of Sustainability participates in a conference on technological solutions that enable it to cope more effectively with challenges such as climate change or drought

The minister of Sustainability and Environment, Catalina Garcia, has highlighted the commitment of the regional government of Andalusia by the modernization of the environmental management, through the digitisation and artificial intelligence, ‘as a fundamental pillar for our service from the Concierge to the citizenship, as an engine to make more agile access to environmental information and, ultimately, with the purpose of improving the quality of that information, the reliability and utility,’ he said.

Catalina Garcia, who has participated in the conference entitled’ innovation in The service of environmental management organized by the ministry through the Network of Environmental Information of Andalusia, has assured that ‘it is precisely the REDIAM, with more than half a million visits, a million and a half of average annual that receives the Information Portal Environmental Andalusia, plays a critical role in this technological deployment, since, by using new digital tools and advanced projects, the Network serves the needs of businesses, researchers, students, and citizenship, approaching environmental data reliable and up to date to support the management, education and sustainable development’.

A database of high-capacity

The councilor of Sustainability has been stressed that, ‘with more than 4,500 published data sets in his catalog, and accessible to the public, and more than 2,000 services geographic data interoperable according to international standards, the REDIAM is configured as the largest regional network of environmental information in Europe and is a pioneering experience in your genre.’

What is Exploraterra “Earth Explorers”?

A project of the Fundación Nao Victoria, co-financed by the cross-Border Cooperation Programme Spain – Portugal (INTERREG V – POCTEP 2014-2020), which has counted with the participation of other institutions: the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions of the regional government of Andalusia, the Agency of Tourism of Galicia, the Associação Portuguesa de Treino de Vela (APORVELA) and the Organisation Regional Tourism do Algarve, and with the cooperation of the City of Seville and Acción Cultural Española.

It is a new cultural space and leisure facilities, located in the Guadalquivir river next to the Golden Tower in building 1 of the Paseo Alcalde Marqués de Contadero on the banks of the Guadalquivir river, next to the Torre del Oro, in the heart of Seville and maritime explorer.

23 February 2024.- The Fundación Nao Victoria joins the celebration of the day of Andalusia, and this year offers a new guided tour-dramatized in the Nao Victoria 500, in which two of its guides are put on the skin of a crew of two andalusians of the First Round-the-World.

Will and Francisco Rodriguez Antonio Hernandez, two sailors andalusians of only 18 men who returned to Seville on 8 September 1522, with Juan Sebastián ElCano on board the Nao Victoria culminating the greatest feat of maritime history.

Andalusia’s role in the expedition: preparation, crew and return to Seville

Between the covers of the replica of the ship of legend, you will have your ups and downs and the prominence of Andalusia in the preparations, the crew, and the return of the expedition that completed the first circumnavigation of the planet. It has been the first of the ten networks of the Russian Federation to celebrate your Assembly in this mandate. Vicent Marí, President of the Consell Insular de Ibiza; Carolina Darias, Mayor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; and Carlos Velazquez, Mayor of Toledo, occupy the presidency and Vice-Presidency of the SCB and lead a Council of Government that complete 14 members representing many other destinations.

The Constituent Assembly was held in the framework of a workshop of the specific work in the Space Exploraterra of the andalusian capital. In the opening of this day, the President of the EMFF, María José García-Pelayo, has encouraged members of the Spain Convention Bureau to continue working for this model of tourism that desestacionaliza the influx of visitors, and that drives the sustainability of economic, social and environmental concerns in the cities in which it has developed. In his speech, he recalled” the commitment of the EMFF support to the municipalities, to their offices and Conferences , sharing best practices, training and advice to ensure that “together we are allies to the tourism MICE tourism remains important.”
